Version 43
The safety tools of version 43 offer maximum protection when working on live components and other hazards. The multi-layer insulation makes any damage to the insulation immediately noticeable, allowing you to focus fully on your work and no longer have to worry about unsafe tools. Just like version 49, the tools feature a glare-free chrome finish, eliminating annoying irritation caused by light reflections and allowing for uninterrupted work 13 the only way to achieve optimal results. The pliers are drop-forged and oil-hardened from tool steel, special tool steel, or chrome-vanadium steel. The cutting edges of all cutting tools are induction hardened, making them ideal for use in industry and trades.
Better safe than sorry
Every day, electricians trust their health to their tools. Because where electricity flows, there's always a risk. Whether cutting cables, installing sockets, or installing control cabinets, they need tools they can rely on. When electricians choose the NWS VDE tool set, they will find strictly controlled, quality tools for virtually every electrical application. This is precisely what matters when it comes to professional work and health.
Safety test procedures according to IEC 60900
- Visual inspection and dimensional testing: Individual inspection of the markings on the base tool and the insulation.
- Heat and cold impact test: At ambient temperature (23°C) and at low temperatures (-25°C) on three different, easily damaged areas.
- Single voltage test: Testing of the electrical insulation properties. Apply a voltage of 10 kV (rms value) in a water bath for 3 minutes and measure the leakage current.
- Pressure test - Dielectric test: Store the tools in a heating cabinet (2 hours at 70°C). Apply a voltage of 5 kV (rms value) for 3 minutes and apply a force of 20 N to the insulation.
- Insulation adhesion test: Store the tools in a heating cabinet (168 hours at 70°C). Apply a force of 500 N for 3 minutes between the conductive part and the insulation.
- Flammability test: Apply a flame for 10 seconds.
