Universal cutting performance
With cutting performance of up to 1.2 mm in diameter for hard wire (e.g., wire rope fibers) and up to 3.0 mm in diameter for soft wire (e.g., copper wire), the Knipex 70 11 110 diagonal cutters offer a wide range of applications. Their long cutting edges also make them ideal for cutting smaller cables.
The particularly carefully and precisely machined edges of the cutting edges enable precise cuts even in very fine stranded wires 13 right down to the cutting tips. This is particularly advantageous in confined spaces, such as when cutting fine stranded wires in distribution boxes or when working on electronic components.

Robust and durable
We forge the Knipex diagonal cutters from vanadium electrical steel and give them high strength by heating and then quenching them in oil.
For consistently precise cutting, we also heat the cutting edges to a hardness of approximately 62 HRC using high-frequency current.
